He could still feel the remnants of the Lifestream calling him, beckoning him to rest but the faint whispers become diluted by his thoughts. Whatever it was that brought him back to Gaia, has brought him back too many years too late. Everything is changed now. The ruins of Midgar lay strewn for all to see serving as a mock memorial for all those who perished during Gaia's final moments. The world here is tainted with death, a stark reminder that it was humanity that caused such misery.
While Angeal certainly harbors ill-feelings towards all those who've done him wrong, he cannot help but feel sorry for the hapless souls who wander here. He's always been a bit too kindhearted. Maybe if he had clung to his hatred he would've found the will to live despite being a monster.
As he flies above the jagged cliffs upon white wings, Angeal pauses once a glimpse of silver catches his eyes. It's then that Angeal realizes he's not alone. ]
