"Hey now," Reno chides with a little smile, "You're way too young to talk like that. Trust me, you got plenty of time to live it up." There's not really any promising that, though, is there? No single second is guaranteed, and it can be over before you know it. If anyone understands that now better than ever, it'd be Reno. Then again, does it matter anymore? No matter what happens, you'll just get back up and walk it off. No consequences. A hundred do-overs. Man, with the way things are now, nothing fucking matters. Might as well go all out.
This is probably a terrible idea, considering both their mental states. But he wouldn't have come up with it if he didn't know what he was doing. It'll be fine. Everything's fine. For the time being, Reno tips their heads together and watches Rufus admire the grand scenery of his corrupt city. It's kinda cute, the look on his face, seeing it for the first time. As they come around the bend and pull into the Sector 6 station, it's a huge step down from the world they left up above. It's also packed with people, ruins and refuse, and the air reeks. The sky is dark, even with the missing plates of 6 and 7 allowing some of the starlight to filter in. Somehow the reactors just drown it all out and make it look smoggier. Even the moon seems to have an eerie green glow.
