Sephiroth is still mostly hanging around Edge for reasons totally not in any way connected to stalking Cloud. Or harassing him at his house. He might also be keeping an eye on Zack, though he won't admit to that either. Otherwise he's been keeping to himself ... mostly ... and trying not to let anything distract him in case Rufus goes back on his end of the deal and the turks try and jump him again.

He's not going to let what happened with Tseng take place a second time. At least that is what he is telling himself being completely unaware of all the terrible secret plans going on.

Cloud had been asked by Rufus to do him a few favors while providing him help with research on Geostigma. There was a bit more to it than that too. Cloud didn't need a place to stay or even remotely an offer to work for the man. Cloud had been staying in the offered home of Sector 8 with the rest of the Shinra employees. It certain felt weird and would continue to do so but he's going to take certain advantages until he can do his own things.

He will at least try his best with getting close to the Sephiroths but he's pretty sure he's lost his chance with one of them. He wasn't even sure if he would be able to find Zack in all of this too. Rufus had mentioned him during their talk. It was one giant circle of people being here and problem solving where it might work. Sephiroth might be stalking a Cloud, but a Cloud might be stalking a Sephiroth or two.

As he watches Sephiroth, he waits for the right moment to come out from whatever hiding to causally cross paths with Sephiroth. His goal would be to at least talk to this Sephiroth, maybe hope to gain some footing somewhere. Cloud is already expecting the worst possible outcome.

"Fancy meeting you here."

Sephiroth instantly takes a step back as Cloud steps into view. There's a momentary flash of confusion before his eyes lock onto his arm -- the one with geostigma -- ah its the other one. His green gaze quickly shifts to meet the blond head on. His expression smirking all too knowingly.

"To what pleasure do I owe this encounter, Cloud?" He sounds rather emotionless, but it does bother him a bit that he hadn't noticed earlier. How long had Cloud been nearby?

He should know these things. Maybe he still is far too distracted by everything or maybe he's subconsciously filtering the other Clouds out of his mind.

Either way he highly doubts this is a chance meeting. But there's no weapon drawn so maybe he's just in the area to make sure Sephiroth isn't off killing people. He's mostly been avoiding direct contact with the public. Even after all these years people in general still annoy him.

[backoff]

Cloud hadn't taken Rufus up on his complete offer yet so he still didn't have an income to get extra supplies. He would take a few days to read over all the details regarding their contract before he said anything to Rufus. Cloud watches Sephiroth silently before locking his gaze with his.

"How do you feel about..." He pauses because it's almost amusing and he doesn't have any other word to say but it. "talking?" Cloud knows it's a dumb suggestion. But what else could he suggest really?

He's not going to be drawing any weapon. Cloud was still sick here, still having the symptoms. He's not trying to be out in public for too long himself.

"I assumed that is what we're currently doing." That might be a joke. It's at least clearly sarcasm.

Well, that explains why he's not being attacked. There is some curiosity concerning what Cloud might actually want to discuss. Probably something along the lines on of he's a danger to the world thd world.

Yes. He can still very much be a danger to everyone. Is he going to be though? Well, that's another story ...

[backoff]

Cloud puts up a hand as he opens his mouth to say something but is caught off guard by what Sephiroth says. That was a joke. It makes him cock his head to the side in confusion.

"Yeah, that is what we're currently doing." He crosses his arms loosely against his chest while looking at Sephiroth. Cloud's not sure how he wants to start this conversation.

"Did you have anything planned for today?"

Confusing Cloud and catching him off guard is what makes this conversation completely worth it. And really the only reason he's entertaining the idea -- he mostly just wants to avoid most people right now.

But he'll go along with this because its Cloud, even if it's not exactly the right one.

"I always have time for you. But please spare us both this game -- if you want to talk, let's go talk."

[backoff]

Cloud had a goal or task to accomplish, talk to all of the Sephiroths, get a little closer to them. It's strange to try to find out what they are doing exactly or what they are up to. He can't straight up ask them. It's always mind games when Cloud interacts with this one. He hasn't ran into the other Sephiroth.

I always have time for you. He bites the inside of his mouth at that line. It's weird hearing it from Sephiroth. Cloud wasn't sure how to feel about it. He looks determined as he finally says.

"Talking out in public might not be the best idea. What do you think?" He pauses for a moment before continuing on. "Do you know of a spot or place we could to for some private talking?"

The only place he's been around much is the other Cloud's house and that is not something that'll be taken very well. Oh sure, I know a place. Where the other you lives. The thought is amusing, but he dismisses it.

"I think there's an abandoned building not too far from here. Curious though -- are you afraid of being seen speaking with me or of what you wish to discuss?" Though with the Turks probably watching it could be either.

He'll turn to walk off in the direction of building he spoke of. It's almost a test to see if Cloud will argue or follow like a good puppet.

[backoff]

He tilts his head at the suggestion of an abandoned building. Cloud is putting trust in Sephiroth which he knows he shouldn't do at all. It's a bit of trust in one of them coming up with a place to go. They were both being stubborn in giving away places they've both been to. A place that's home to them for now.

"Should I be afraid of being seen by you? I don't care if others see me talking to you." If it is the Turks they can come ask him. Cloud will tell them the truth just not in front of Sephiroth. It'll get slightly complicated but he could try to come up with some stupid excuse. "We could stay out here where people can bump into us."

Cloud will act as if he's about to take a step forward but doesn't. His lips pull into a thin straight line and crosses his arms against his chest. Truthfully, he will follow Sephiroth since the goal was to get closer.

Must Cloud be so stubborn? When Cloud doesn't follow at first, he stops to give a glance over his shoulder. Of course he'd be like this. Of course.

"Considering the Turks may still want me dead, the answer depends on if you want to deal with them or not."

With a small shake of the head, he turns back around to face Cloud again.

"Do you want to talk or is just an attempt to waste my time? What is it you really want, Cloud?"

[backoff]

Cloud had told Rufus that he didn't want to know Turk business or anything personal in regards to Rufus's business in that matter. He looks at Sephiroth silently, there's no surprise because of course Sephiroth would cause trouble. Of course he would.

"I will deal with that problem if it becomes a problem."

He could feel his body tightening when Sephiroth turns back around.

"I already told you, I want to talk. If you have a personal issue with the Turks. I'm not interested. For all I know, you want to drop a Meteor here."

That's a pretty good excuse for wanting to kill Sephiroth. If there's more to it then that Cloud doesn't want to know.

"Simply a warning, Cloud. That is all," the smirk that follows is probably not very comforting.

"Now are we to go some place to talk, or are you just going to stand here?"

He folds his arms across his chest. Is this going to be some sort of stand off? Cloud stop being so stubborn. Either go with him or talk. One of the two.

[backoff]

Cloud could feel those anxious bundles of nerves rolling around in his gut. It created that flight feeling at the smirk Sephiroth provided. His hairs stood on end as he watches Sephiroth.

"We can go some place to talk."

It's not really a stand off. He nods at Sephiroth in a way to say to start walking he'll start following. Cloud puts a hand on his hip while waiting for the other to start going.

Oh Cloud stop being so nervous.

He gives the blond one last look before heading off towards the abandoned building. There's nothing really special about it -- it's simply out of the way and boarded up for one reason or another. Also it's not locked simply because Sephiroth already broke into it at some point.

Sorry no furniture though. So Cloud will have to have this conversation standing.

"What is so important that you wished to seek me out?" Usually it'd be the other way around, Sephiroth hunting down Cloud.
